T&E 4112 RW Performance Flight Testing II

Course Description

This course is offered once per year on-campus. The course is designed to provide a continuation of the theory and flight test techniques employed during T&E 4111 by providing an intensive overview of the methods used to measure and predict forward flight performance of turbine helicopters. Climb and descent performance testing is also taught, as is engine failure testing for single and multi-engine helicopters. The course also includes a through look into the takeoff and landing performance of a helicopter including the civilian regulation requirements. (Prerequisite: Successful completion of T&E 4111)
