Course Description
The six-week Initial Course consists of classroom lectures, simulator, and aircraft flight testing both in fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Each student receives both fixed and rotary wing academics and flight test training. The course is designed to cover the areas of aircraft performance, propulsion, stability and control and systems that are pertinent to the certification of fixed and rotary wing aircraft with respect to the existing FAA (EASA) Regulations. Upon completion of the course each student will have had a complete review of the aerodynamic and systems theory, hands on flight test experience, and data comparison to the certification requirements. The course graduates will be current and standardized in the applicable FAA (EASA) flight test certification procedures for fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
